Once upon a time a there lived a king who was a great devotee of God. He used to worship God every day with great \u00a0sincerity and commitment .Yet, he was perturbed by three questions-<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Firstly, Is there God?
\nSecondly, if He exists , where \u00a0and how can we see Him.
\nThe third question was, What does God do?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The King could not get satisfactory answers to these questions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Through a messenger \u00a0the King proclaimed throughout his kingdom that if any person provided satisfactory answers to the \u00a0three questions, he would shower expensive gifts on him. If the answers were wrong, the person would be \u00a0severely penalised.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Several people attempted to answer the questions but failed and ended up paying the penalty. \u00a0Finally the king told his minister-
\n\u201cYou have to find the correct answers to my questions.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With a heavy heart, the minister returned home. \u00a0When his son learnt the reason for his father\u2019s worried looks he told him-
\n\u201cFather, take me to the palace tomorrow, I will answer the king\u2019s questions.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Next morning the minister\u2019s son stood in front of the palace and was churning the milk he had brought in a vessel. The king stopped by and asked him what he was doing.
\nThe boy replied-
\n\u201cI am looking for \u00a0butter in this milk.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The king told him-
\n\u201cChild, \u00a0you need to \u00a0make curd out of this milk and then churn it \u00a0to get the butter.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The boy \u00a0said-
\n\u201cYour Majesty, we have found out the answers to your first two questions. God is like the butter in the milk which can be seen only by churning the curd. He is there but hidden.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When the king demanded the answer for the third question, the boy asked the king to place him on the throne. The king\u00a0obliged. Seated on the throne, the boy answered the third question-
\n\u201cGod elevates humble people to high positions and hurls down arrogant persons to hell.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pleased with this answer, the king showered gifts on the boy and honoured him. Later, the king gave up pride and arrogance and ruled the kingdom with humility .<\/p>\n
