Mujungaavu: Anniversary of Shree Bharathi Vidyapeetha, Mujungavu was celebrated on 26.01.2019, Saturday. It was inaugurated at 9.30 in the morning with lighting the lamp, shankanaada and hoisting of flag.
President of Rakshaka-Shikshaka association Sri Purushottamacharya hoisted the flag and spoke. President of management committee Sri S.N. Rao Munnippaadi gave a motivational speech.
The closing ceremony was held from 2pm in the afternoon. President of Ednad GramaPanchayat Sri Satyanarayana Tantri, who arrived as a chief guest to the programme, spoke and said that birthday of a student means joy and celebration only to him. But if it’s the anniversary of the school then it’s birthday for the whole school. It is like a joyous festival celebration to everyone related to the school. The spirits and energy of everyone are improved, magnified. Even though it is an English medium school it teaches Sanskrit and culture along with it. The children learning here are fortunate. The people of the village should think about sending their children to this school, he added.
Sri Govinda Bhat Mullankocchi who arrived as a guest said that the learning of conserving and cultivating of Sanskrit and culture should start from childhood.
Another chief guest Sri P. G. Krishna Bhat Pudukoli spoke and advised that any subject can be mastered if practiced and learnt from the childhood.
After the inaugural programme Tandava Ganapathi, Bharatanatya, welcome songs, speech as part of Republic Day, self-introduction in English by small children, yoga practice, childhood story of Vivekananda, Tulu Nrutya, Harikatha kaalakshepa by kum. Krutika of class 10 and many other diverse cultural programmes were held.
The multiple talents of students from L.K.G. to S.S.L.C. were showcased in the programme which made their parents feel contented, while the guests and chief guests were pleased. The president released the annual magazine ‘Belaku’ created by the students. Sri Shyamaraja Doddamaani, secretary of the management committee, gave the proposal, head mistress Smt. Chitrasaraswathi gave the Annual report.
Prizes were distributed to students who have won in academic and sports competitions.
Librarian Smt. Vijaya Subramanya, Veda Murthy Konamme Sri Mahadeva Bhat Kongotu, Sri Ganapathi Bhat Belligemane and Panjigeddemane distributed the Pratibha Puraskara to the deserving students like every year.
High School students sang the prayer, kum. Krutika anchored the programme. At the end administrator Sri Shyam Bhat Darbhemaarga gave the vote of thanks.
