Siddapura: Culture is imbibed from birth among Havyakas. The talent present in the community has not been obtained by attending school. Rather, talent flows like water in the Havyaka genes. Even if it were to be blocked by a dam, talent will flow out by other sources, said the President of Sri Akhila Havyaka Mahasabha Dr. Giridhara Kaje.
He spoke at the concluding ceremony of “Pratibimba” (North) Competition held at GouSwarga Samsthana, Sri Ramdeva Bhankuli Matha. It was held for the Havyakas of Uttara Kannada region by Sri Akhila Havyaka Mahasabha ®, Bangaluru.
The Havyaka community should contribute to the society. The strength of our community should spread from rural level upto the highest level possible, said Dr. Giridhar Kaje. In this context, he added that the Amruta Mahostava of the Akhila Havyaka Mahasabha, which was built by our elders, would take place for three days from December 28. He appealed to all Havyakas to participate in the Amruta Mahotsava with their heart, mind and soul.
Though we are less in number, the Havyaka community stands as an ideal community in the context of transformation and ideology. We live today in the background of our ancestors’ sacrifice and hard work. We live in harmony with all castes and sub-castes of the society. The pontiff of the Matha, who is revered in the whole of India, is guiding us to live in a cultured way, said the chief guest of the programme MLA Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri.
