Mumbai: The annual Deepa kanike of Mumbai and Pune valayas were offered on January 20th with akhanda 4amataraka japa, in Pejavara Math, Santa Cruz.
The programme commenced with a guruvandana, and continued from dawn to dusk. 55 members chanted Ramataraka japa for 84,000 times. It was followed by Satyanarayana katha parayana. Finally the Deepa kaanike was offered. The gurikaras of respective ghatakas, along with the office bearers were present for the programme.
