A meaningful celebration of Rajyotsava at Uruvalu

Dakshina Kannada: Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 1st November in a meaningful way in Sri Bharati Institution at Uruvalu. The programme began with the singing of the state song by the students. The programme was jointly hosted by the aided senior primary school and English medium school.

 

The head mistress Smt.Jayalakshmi and associate teachers Smt.Kamarunnisa and Sri Lakshmana Goud spoke about the unification of Karnataka, which is the primary reason for the Rajyotsava celebration.

 

The leader of opposition of school parliament, Karthik, highlighted about the importance of Rajyotsava. The students of both the schools sang the glory of the land through various songs.

 

Sri Shankar Bhat, the president of the school administrative committee as well as the day’s programme, interacted with the students about the meaning and usage of difficult words used in daily life. He also gave a call to the students ‘Save Kannada, Promote Karnataka’.

 

While Chittaranjan welcomed the dignitaries, Kum. Chaitanya gave the vote of thanks. Kum. Prarthana was the anchor. Teachers and hundreds of students participated in the programme.
