Sri Raghavendra Bhat Kyadagi honoured with Ph.D.

Education

Sri Raghavendra Bhat Kyadagi was honoured with Ph.D. in the 22nd Convocation of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha Tirupati, a leading sanskrit university of the nation, on 09.02.19.

 

He has been awarded Doctorate degree for his scientific experimental research on the subject ‘माध्यमिकस्तरे संस्कृताध्ययनसमस्यानां प्रयोगात्मकमध्ययनं परिहारोपायाश्च’ – ‘An Experimental Study of Problems of Learning Sanskrit at Secondary Level and Remedial Measures’. The Chancellor of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, former Chief Election Commissioner of India Sri N. Gopalaswamy (IAS) and Vice Chancellor Prof. V. Muralidhara Sharma awarded the honour in the presence of eminent scholars. Prof. Prahlad R. Joshi, Dean of the faculty of Sanskrit Education of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, was the guide for this research study.

 

Dr. Raghavendra Bhat, who is working as Lecturer in Sanskrit in Government Pre University College in Bengaluru is the son of Sri Ganapati Bhat Hirekai and Smt. Sarweshwari from Kyadagi village in Siddapura taluk of Uttara Kannada district.

 

Dr. Raghavendra Bhat, who is also active socially is the co-head of the Vaidika Department of Sri RamachandrapuraMatha and head of the Vaidika department of South Bengaluru Mandala, editor of the Sanskrit edition of ‘Srimukha’ online news portal, co-editor of the online weekly ‘Gouvaani’, Coordinator of the ‘Vedaratna’ honour given at the Second World Havyaka Conference conducted by Sri Akhila Havyaka Mahasabha, editor of the research journal ‘Siddharoodha Bharati’ and the member of advisory committee of ‘Unnati Gurukula’.

 

He has served as the Chairperson, Scrutinizer and Member of Karnataka state Sanskrit textbook preparation and revision committees formed by the Government of Karnataka.

 

His book ‘Nibandha Mandaakini’ published by Shree Bharathi Prakashana received the state award ‘Samskrita Grantha Puraskara – 2015’ from Karnataka Sanskrit University.
