Nantur: Women’s day was celebrated at Shankara Sri auditorium of Shree Bharathi group of institutions by the women empowerment cell of Shree Bharathi Degree College. Smt. Subhadra Bhat, senior teacher of Shree Bharathi English medium school inaugurated the programme and gave a brief introduction about the women achievers of various fields.

Dr. EshwarPrasad Alangar said that women have been given more reservation in the college. PU College principal Smt. Vidya Bhat said that celebrating symbolic women’s day is welcomed. Lecturer Kum. Kavyasri gave an occasional warm greeting. The event concluded with the entertainment activities by the final year students.
Lecturer Kum. Kusumavati Swati anchored the programme. Students Kum. Sushmita and Kum. Swati welcomed and thanked the gathering respectively.
