Nantur: The SBC Volleyball League was inaugurated by Sports Association of Shree Bharathi Degree College at Sankarasri Hall of Nantur on March 13th. The programme was held at Shree Bharatiya Group of Institutions, Mangalore.President of Shree Bharathi Group of Institutions Sri Ganesh Mohan Kashimata presided over the function. Secretary Sri Krishna Neeramoole, Secretary Sri M.T. Bhat, Principal Dr. Ishwaraprasad, Sports Association Director Sri Praveen P., Student Leader Kum. Shweta were present during the occasion.
Student of the college Kum. SoumyaShree welcomed while student Kum. Ganga S. Hegde addressed the gathering. Sri Mithunaraj B., also the student of the college, proposed the vote of thanks.
Closing ceremony:
Chairman of Shri Bharati Group of Institutions Harakare Sri Narayana Bhat was preaent in the concluding ceremony, he addressed the gathering and said that he would encourage conducting the next year’s Inter Volleyball tournament. He also stated that the enthusiasm of the students and lecturers was commendable.
Vice President Prof. T. Srikrishna Bhat, Co-Secretary Prof. V. G. Bhat, Administrator Prof. K. Shankara Bhat, Member Sri Ramesh Bhat Saravu and Sports Association Director Sri Praveen P. graced the occasion.
During the same programme, winners were awarded the prizes.
Student Kum. Sneha S. K. welcomed the gathering. Student Kum. Ganga S. Hegde compered the programme and student Sri Vivek K. proposed the vote of thanks.
Winners:
SBC Blockers Sri Akshath’s Team won the first place while SBC Spikers Sri Gunakar’s Group secured second place. Sri Pawan from SBC Blockers won the Best Passer Award, Sri Akshath of the SBC Blockers won Best Smasher Award. Sri Siva from the SBC Spikers team took home the All Rounder award.
