Perla: Sri Anjaneya Kalpokta pooja and Anjaneya homa were performed at Govardhana Dharmamandira of Bajakoodlu Amritadhara goshala on Saturday for overcoming the Shani-dosha.
Hundreds of devotees participated in the pooja. Mahaganapati homa, Kamadhenu havana, gopooja were performed in the morning. After poornahuti in afternoon, vaidika pradhana Sri Keshava Prasada Kootelu offered prayers.
He prayed that everyone participating in the pooja, on Saturday of Karthika maasa, which is being performed in the presence of cows, the abode of 33 crore Gods and Goddesses, should be blessed.
Anjaneya Kalpokta pooja was performed by Golittadka family and Anjaneya havana by Partaje Sri Shivaprasad Varmudi family. Matru vibhaaga recited Hanuman chalisa, Vishnu Sahasranama and Bhajana Ramayana. Sri Durgaparameshwari Perla and Sri Durgaparameshwari Bhajan sangha, Shivagiri involved themselves in the event by offering the bhajan service.
Mahamandala president Smt. Eshwari Berkadavu, secretary Sri Hariprasad Periyappu, Mulleriya Mandala president Prof. Srikrishna Bhat, office bearers of various organisations of the area, volunteers of various valayas took part in the programme.
Till 15th November Gomata saparyaa and Gopashtami Mahotsava shall happen with various rituals. Every morning Ganapati havana, Kamadhenu havana; Bhajana Ramayana, Vishnu Sahasranama parayana, Gopooja, Tulasi pooja, Gopalakrishna pooja in the evening; Deepotsava, mangalarati, prasada distribution starts from 7pm; food is served after that. All the devotees are requested to participate in the programme.
