ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಹಾಲಪ್ಪನವರು ಅಂದ ಮಾತು ಅವರು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ನೋವಿನ ಪ್ರತೀಕವೆನಿಸಿತು.”ತಾನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವನಾದರೆ ಇತರರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈಗಾಗಿರುವುದೂ ಅದೇ”ಎಂಬ ಅವರ ನುಡಿ ಅಂತರಾಳದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮನಗಾಣಿಸಿತು.ಸರಕಾರಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯೋಚಿತವಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
