As per the direction of Honorable Supreme Court, Government of Karnataka has begun handing over Sri Mahabalesheara Temple to SriMatha today. Sri G K Hegde, representative of SriMatha is taking charge of the administration before Lord Sri Mahabaleshvara from Sri. Halappa.
