A youth went to a guru and requested him to teach him Judo. The guru observed that the youth had only one hand and taught him only one move, which could only be performed by a single handed person. The guru told the youth,
“Young man, practice this move daily.”
The young man followed the guru’s instruction with great dedication and mastered the move.
After some time, the youth participated in a competition. He won in the first, second and third rounds with great ease and in the final round he encountered a very strong opponent. The youth faced the opponent bravely and defeated him by taking advantage of the opponent’s small mistake. The guru had taught the youth precisely what was essential to defeat his opponent.
This story reveals the truth that guidance of a proficient guru and constant practice can bring success to any person.
