Basarikatte: Sri Sadguru Vidyaniketana Vishvastha Mandali Brahmin Students Hostel has been functioning since 18 years at Basarikatte of Koppa taluk, Chikmagalur district, which is equivalent of Kashmir in the Malenad region owing of its natural serenity. This institution aims to give the best education through Kannada and English medium schools and also teaches Veda mantras, yoga, music, bhajans and moral values along with the regular curriculum.
It is a matter of pride that the students who have studied here have formed their lives in a respectable manner. There are faculties available for all the curriculum of the students. A hygienic and tasty food system and well equipped rooms for boarding and studying are available. Generators help fill the deficit of electricity. Capable employees take care of the students in a lovable manner and maintain the discipline. Students of 6th to 10th standard can avail the hostel facility.
It has been decided that from 2019-20 batch, the students shall not be charged any amount and the hostel shall be run free for them. Since the institution mainly aims at providing not only modern education but also Bharatiya system of knowledge, the above decision has been taken.
