Cultural day was celebrated by the Cultural association of Shree Bharathi Degree College in Shankara Sri auditorium of Shree Bharathi group of Institutions in Nantoor, Mangalore on 16th of March.

 

Lawyer and Notary Sri Ramachandra Bhat Maanippaadi inaugurated the programme and said, Shree Bharathi Vidya Institute is a temple of culture. This temple of knowledge is providing education along with culture which is responsible for molding the students into responsible citizens, he said.
The Principal of the Shree Bharathi Degree College, Dr.Eshwar Prasad A was the president of the programme, he said, during Veda – Purana times elders stressed about education filled with culture. Let the lesson of survival of culture in students grow into a vast tree, he well wished.

 

Lecturer of Shri Rama First Grade College Shrimathi Sukanya C, arrived as the chief guest and said, Indian nation is a home town for culture, nobody will be disregarded for adapting culture in their lives. There are scientific reasons for all our practices. If students give importance to culture in their lives their personalities will be molded well, she said.

 

News reader from Namma Kudla channel Shrimathi Priya Harish Shetty said, one can climb the staircase of success only when discipline is developed along with culture. Discipline and patience are a part of culture. Celebration of culture should not be limited to a single day, she said.

 

Organiser of the Cultural association Sri Praveen P proposed the programme. Student Head Ku. Jhanavi welcomed everybody. Student Ku. Ankitha N gave the vote of thanks. Student Sri Venkatesh anchored the programme.

 

Chief guests-guests and students honoured Swami Vivekananda’s photograph with flowers. The chief guests were welcomed with Poornakumba and Chendevaadana, kumkum, turmeric and flowers. All the students and the lecturers celebrated in ethnic wear. Selfie corner attracted everybody’s attention. Later final year students carried out the entertainment programmes.
