Majungavu: On 22.02.19, Spandana programme was held at Shree Bharathi Vidyapeeta in Mujungavu in collaboration with the Kasargod District Scout and Guide. This programme was held marking the birthday of Scout and Guide founder Baden-Powell. In the memory of Baden-Powell, the son of Appu Patil gave a monetary donation to help a blind youth.
Sri Kiran Prasad, Director of the Kasargod District Scout Guide, said, “Scout and Guide is a place where it teaches humanity.” He also said that in any difficult situation, it teaches the students to live on and to rise at times of distress.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of P.T.A. Sri Purushottama Acharya said that the Scouts and Guides is helping students in coping with any difficult situation in their childhood. This in turn will help them carve an identity in society as an adult.
Sri Vijayakumar, a volunteer from Scouts and Guides, Kumble; guides teacher Mrs. Jyotilakshmi, retired teacher Shrikumari; Sri Shyamaraj Doddamani, Secretary of the school administration committee; Sri Shyam Bhat Darbemarga, Headmaster and Headmistress Mrs. Chitrasaraswati were present on the occasion.
Administrator Sri Shyam Bhat Darbemarga welcomed the gathering. The Guides students sang the prayer. Kumari Madhura was the master of ceremony while Kumar Sandesh proposed the vote of thanks.
