Bhatkal: Mandala’s 4th programme of Bhatkal Havyaka valaya started with Guruvandana at the residence of Sri Mahabaleshwara Venkanna Hegde on 27.01.2019. It started off with mass Kunkumaarchane at 10 in the morning followed by a lecture on ‘Women’s role in conserving Havyaka culture’ by Smt. Geeta Hegde. She said that children must be made aware of clothing and accessories, practices and rituals in their childhood itself, our Havyaka culture can be conserved by this.
She reminded that men too have a role in this.
Vice president of the valaya Sri Neelakantha Upadhyaya, director of R. N. S. group of Institutions Sri M. V. Hegde, Sri Prabhakar Bhat Siddapur, head of Matru vibhaga of Siddhapura Mandala Smt. Veena Bhat were present on the stage.
Young talent Sri Kumar Sandeep Bhat and very talented children kum. Dhaarini, kum. Tanushri showcased their talents and were applauded by the Havyakas present.
Smt. Geeta Hegde sang the prayer, the host Sri Mahabaleshwara Venkanna Hegde welcomed everyone, Sri Nagaraj Hegde gave the vote of thanks.
With Ramataaraka Mantra and shankanaada the programme reached its final form.
