Maaloor: Deepavali Goupooja programme was grandly celebrated on the occasion of Deepavali festival under the leadership of Veda Murthy Gopal Krishna Kaakatkar in Sri Raghavendra Gou ashram in Gangapur.
In the divine presence of of Sri Siddaanjaneya Swami Pooja was performed along with panchamrutha abhisheka in the morning. Later Deepavali Goupooja was held in the presence of more than 200 Gou devotees.
Savatsa Gou, home for all the 33 crore Gods, was worshipped in decorated Mantapa. Gopal Krishna Kaakatkar explained the importance of Goupooja.
All the Gous of the gou ashram were fed with cucumber kadubu, jaggery and banana as part of service initiated by Sevakarta Partaje Kumarswamy Varmudi.
The president of Gou ashram committee Dr. Shyam Prasad, Secretary Shrikanth Hegde, special officer Ramachandra Ajjakkaana, Gou devotees Hanumantharaju, Gopal Maaloor, Venkatesh, Nagaraj Gupta, Chandrasekhar G B, Gou ashram’s Krishna Bhat, Lakshimeesha and Ananth Hegde were present.
