Pearls of Wisdom : Trust  is Life – Series of discourse by H.H.Shreemajjagadguru Shankaracharya Shree Shree Raghaveshwara Bharati Mahaswamiji

Sri Samsthana

Once, a man set out to scale a huge mountain. There were several others who were on the climb too. The man was eager that he should be the first one to complete the climb. Hence he moved very fast. Since the mountain was covered with mist and snow, it was difficult even to breathe. Half way, the man became very tired and fell down. His life was in great danger. As he had tied a rope round his waist, he was dangling from the mountain.

He prayed, “Oh God, save me .”
A voice from above instructed him,
“untie the rope and let go.”
The man did not trust the voice. He did not free himself and continued dangling.

After some time, he became breathless and died. When his friends arrived at the spot where he died, they were surprised to see a flat surface just below. Since the mountain was covered with mist, the man had failed to see it. If he had untied the rope, he would have survived.

We need to trust God and people around us. If we doubt everything and everyone, nothing can be achieved. Our life is rooted in Trust.
