In connection with the case of the worship of Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple in Gokarna. The judgment of one member High court judge which included Swamiji was upturned. The defendants were issued a notice.
The Higher Court (Dharwad) has ordered the filing of a Sumatto judicial case against the temple administration and Sri Swamiji, though the petition had been withdrawn in connection with the case of Sri Math’s claim to worship Sri Mahabaleshwara. This was challenged in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court heard the arguments and counter arguments today. “There are several issues behind the order of the Dharwad High Court, so we will have a thorough inquiry into this”, the court said. The court expressed the opinion that the order of the state high court is a violation of its jurisdictional action. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the defendants by issuing a notice of appeal to the Supreme Court.
