ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಇಂದಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುವ ಹವ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಸ್ವರ್ಗ ಚಾತುರ್ಮಾಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರೂ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞರೂ ಆದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಾ. ಶಾರದಾ ಜಯಗೋವಿಂದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 163 ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಹಂಪಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಭಾರತೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಉತ್ತಮ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಾ. ಶಾರದಾ ಜಯಗೋವಿಂದ್ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಾಲಾ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಹರೀಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಇವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಸಮರ್ಪಣಾ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಶಾರದಾ ಜಯಗೋವಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಡಾ.ಶಾರದಾ ಜಯಗೋವಿಂದ ಅವರು ಶ್ರೀಭಾರತೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃಂದಕ್ಕೆ Quality Management ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ವಿವಿಧ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಹಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಹುದೆಂದು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯುತವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ-ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
25K is the market value; not the intrinsic value of these 163 Books ! Intrinsic value should be invaluable ! Teachers should earmark at least an hour in a week to explain the contents of these 163 and other books in the School Library to the students. Otherwise, books may remain on the shelves of the School Library as the showpieces. According to a study, Indian Students in Modern English Medium Schools (so called International Schools !) are heavily loaded (burdened) with the prescribed School Textbooks, many of which are unnecessary. They have no time even to read the prescribed text books ! Ofcourse; some students may read the general books ! In this background; the school teachers should manage the class periods at their disposals to make aware of the contents (gist) of these donated books and other books in d school library to the students and thereby realise the intention of the donor. Then the purposefulness of the donation would be served. Congratulations to Smt Dr. Sharada Jayagovinda, Madam !
